I have seen someone play the Sims 3 (and some expansions) on a laptop with an Intel Core i5-2410m CPU with the integrated Intel HD 3000 and he said while the game was 'playable', it was sluggish as well. The Celeron N2840 is a low power and low performance Atom CPU (not a Core i3/i5/i7 CPU) that is really meant only for basic everyday usage, not games.
